Making the willow deer and sending them on adventures was a challenging and rewarding period in my life. There may be one more episode to come, I’m thinking about it. To find out if they were any good I entered the last one in some international film festivals. It became a semi-finalist in the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival; also a semi-finalist in the Paris International short festival, the New York International festival and the London International Filmmakers festival.
It was Finalist and Nominee to the winner in Cannes World Film Festival.
And finally it won the award for Best Family Program in the USA IndieFEST Film Awards.

My main activity at the farm in recent years is as a holiday rental, using the house and one of the large barns so it has rooms for 24 guests. My new venture is to turn half of the second big barn into a spacious hall for groups to do Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation.
30 acres, set high in the hills near Monmouth in Wales, with views of mountains and glorious sunsets. It’s an eco-friendly farm with wild areas, marshy bits, woodlands, a stream and ponds with wild ducks and moorhens. Last year I counted 43 types of wild flower in the fields.
The Farm
Apart from annual tree planting and seed gathering in Madagascar, I’ve launched a project in an area of central Madagascar tor testing of school children’s eyesight and providing glasses to those with sight problems so they can benefit from their education.
Recently things fell into place to do a project in a very remote area of Papua New Guinea, providing solar lamps to a village and training for 6 local young men and women in installation and repair, with delivery in a canoe expedition by explorer friends. A few solar street lights will be included to light up the communal toilet areas, and for the village basketball pitch so it can be used in evenings. This village is special to me as I’d been initiated into their tribe 40 years ago.
